There are only today 6 of these lovely kits on the road in the UK. They were a limited edition made by Siva/ Neville Trickett (Design) Ltd. of Blindfold, Dorset from a 1956 Ford Popular donor chassis and running gear.
I bought her 12 years ago, she only does about 55 miles a year, she is well liked when out, making people smile and wave.
A lot of work had been done prior to me purchasing and since I have had her re- upholstered, a new marine petrol tank fitted, the original was the can on the running board which smelt in the garage, a Klaxon horn , new battery, bonnet straps and recently a new petrol pump. I have new rubber matting which has not yet been fitted.
There are seat belts in the back (great for taking the kids out).
Bessie is MOT & TAX FREE
She drives well
I bought her as I am a great Dr. Who fan and love quirky classic cars.
Sort of lost interest in my cars during covid and sold all except for Bessie. But as I really don't even go to the few shows up here in the Highlands have decided to let someone else enjoy this friendly vehicle.
