Built on 14 Sep 1972, Furby is a very pretty example of a T2 camper, privately imported from Australia in 2004. Furby has been owned by us since 2005. After many trips to the continent and around UK, things have moved on and it is now time for a new home.
Refurbished, retrimmed and painted in 2006. Furby has a Calypso Campers interior with a rock and roll bed, domestic fridge, sink and hob/ grill, pumped water, leisure battery, a split charge and hook up point.
The underneath has never been welded, passenger sill apart, and remains remarkably solid - the MOT tester could not believe how good it was! Furby is beginning to show some surface bubbling and rust on the panels, which we have tried to capture in the photographs and this is reflected in the asking price.
With an MOT to March 2025 and a full MOT history going back to 2005, the milometer currently shows 68, 213 miles. The engine was exchanged at an indicated 45, 600 miles and the gearbox rebuilt in April 2013 at about 55, 000 miles. Electronic ignition and an alternator conversion have been fitted. Large history file of work undertaken showing bills of over £18, 000 by 2013.
