Offered for sale is an outstanding example of one of the last true British grand tourers. Finished in Italian Racing Red with Ivory leather, this car has been fastidiously maintained and is immaculate throughout. It has full JLR main dealer service history, with extended manufacturer warranty and MOT until late July, recent new tyres and an unused space-saver spare. With one lady driver from new, and always garaged, this must be one of the finest examples of an XKR Coupe available in the UK.
This is the second XK than has been owned by the XKR's keeper, and was used initially as a daily driver and then more recently confined to long continental tours, for which it is so well suited. With both effortless cruising capacity and ample luggage space, this car is capable of 27 mpg on long journeys. A battery replacement and a couple of warning light sensor replacements have been the only requirements apart from annual servicing.
This car is quick (503 bhp), refined, and handles well, and will delight any new owner. Even at thirteen years old it is constantly admired, and frequently mistaken for more exotic Italian machinery.
The only reason for the car's sale is that the opportunity arose to buy the last internal combustion engined Jaguar sports car to be made, an F Type R 70, and garage space doesn't allow the retention of both.
