I’ve recently bought a modern Harley so, as much as I love it I’m selling my beautiful matching numbers 1979 80ci FXEF Super glide shovelhead. The bike has a particularly nice factory black engine with black chrome covers and rocker boxes, I’m sure others like it exist but I’ve not seen one
The bike was an import from Florida showing just 17k miles, it’s now showing just over 18k,
It’s largely unrestored but still in great condition, it runs and rides just as it should, the engine is quiet, smoke free and starts readily, everything works perfectly, it’s just had a full service and is ready to go.
The battery is new, as are the tyres, it also has a new S&S super E carb fitted, the brake pads have also recently been replaced. It rides nicely on the road, plenty of grunt, handles well and the brakes are decent.
This shovelhead has clearly been looked after, it’s one of the nicest I’ve seen and ridden, the paintwork is nice, the chrome is all in great shape, the wheels are lovely with chrome spokes
The bike comes with it’s original 2 into 1 silencer that fits the downpipes that are currently on the bike, I also have the original buckhorn handlebars should you wish to re fit them, it also comes with a touring seat which is in good condition
This bike needs nothing and can be ridden away, it is tax and MOT exempt I have the V5C here and in my name, I hadn’t planned to sell this but I have been seduced by the power of the new 8 valve Harleys so I’ve bought one, I don’t have the space for 2 big twins sadly, viewing is encouraged, you won’t be disappointed.
