Note this is the SMG auto, you can change gears using the gear lever or paddles on the steering wheel, or put it into "D" and it makes a pretty good job of changing. It returns 34 mpg and drives like new.

I looked at many other cars before buying this one two years ago (I've had 4 BMWs before). This is by far the best one.
The gearbox really makes a difference you can make really quick changes without any interference or let it change for you in traffic (much better than a manual). With silky smooth six providing so much torque it hangs on to gears the same way you would yourself on hills or at low speeds .
