1995 Land Rover Defender 300 TDI. Service history for the whole of this century! Mainly owned by a Sussex plant hire company and transferred twice between the company and directors then onto a Classic Car grage proporietor then me in 2022. I have done 5, 000 miles in it.
MoT until November 2024 with no advisories. The last service was October 2023, under 1, 000 miles ago, with invoice. All invoices in my ownership and 78 workshop entries from the plant hire company who I contacted and they confirmed since 2018 it was the back up vehicle.
Workshop entries show a reconditioned cylinder head in 2018, new Cambelt, clutch, exhaust and head gasket in 2020. Bodywise a new rear cross member in 2015 and respray in original Portofino Red 2018. Never had an MoT advisory for chassis rust with rust free bulkhead. Service entries tally with the 242, 300 miles. Chassis has the original number still clearly etched. Gearbox is fine in low and high ratio.
Being honest the rear door which has some minor paint imperfections bottom right and left which I have photographed but they have not deteriorated.
The Landie appeared in our local classic car show in 2023 with its programme entry and plaque in the history. It has been invited back for 2024 causing a stir.
