Moto Morini 500 Sport (1981)
Excellent, rare 500 Sport. Original UK bike. Lots of history. Extremely good mechanical condition, having been recently re commissioned by Morini specialist in South East. (Apologies for 'T' listing, the box would not allow correct term)
This quick, great handling classic bike starts first time on quiet, electric starter or kick start. New tyres. Garaged for the last 20 years. 5 previous owners. This lightweight, thoroughbred V twin drives and handles very well as one would expect from this classic Italian Mk.
With no known mechanical issues and in very good, original condition. Handlebar, switchgear, seat, foot pegs, exhaust, frame, tank, side panels, engine gear box, wheels etc all original.
This 43 year old bike is perfect for classic ride-outs etc. It’s three disks have excellent braking. Original indicators make for easy riding through town. With very good recent tyres, it’s ready to go this season. It wears it’s age well but could be improved cosmetically if that’s your thing. (One small dent in tank as pictured).
Fantastic, light, easy bike to ride. Easy to maintain with very good spares backup.
Vehicle History
The bike was purchased two years ago from a long term owner who kept it regularly serviced, but not often ridden. In my ownership, the first thing I did was take it to a very respected Morini specialist in the South East. The brief was to get the bike running as well as it possibly could, doing anything it needed to make it mechanically sound and a very reliable machine with rideability paramount. This was achieved whilst keeping the machine standard. This unusual, UK registered bike, has a known UK history from new. It is an all-round excellent machine.
