For sale is my 1965 Chevrolet Corvair 110
3 Speed Manual, twin carb model, 500 trim level.
The car has its original paint with a great level of patina - I’ve used Ankor Wax to preserve it and give it a slight shine, it’s not permanent and there are many options on what to do with it. There are a couple of spots of surface rust which I’ve also coated in Ankor wax to protect it. The car is undersealed but also rarely gets wet, and the sills have been injected with Dinitrol.
The odometer is showing just over 17000 miles, but I only have history from ~15000.
The car had significant recommissioning over the past few years, including a full retrim to factory spec of seats, door cards and carpets. Also new bumpers, lamp lenses, fuel tank, wiper unit, exhaust system and more. The heating and ventilation system was also refurbed and replacement hoses fitted, electronic ignition and uprated coil fitted. There is also a back-up electronic fuel pump installed but I’ve never connected it up.
Oil, filters, spark plugs and fan belt have all been replaced over the past 12months. Both carbs were rebuilt last summer with new filters & gaskets and then tuned by an historic race prep garage so is running well and ready to be used.
The steering wheel, dash and gear stick are all original along with the headlining, and the windows all work as the should giving the true pillarless look. It’s lower than standard but looks better for it in my opinion. There is a modern but tasteful head unit fitted, but I do have a blanking plate for it somewhere, along with removable speakers on the parcel shelf.
I’ve various spares which would also come with the car, including the original bumpers, various gaskets, seals, lamp lenses, bits of trim etc.
I’ve had many great trips in it to shows and just interesting commutes, but a change in circumstances forces sale. I used it as a friend’s wedding car last summer which hopefully shows confidence in how well it runs and drives.
Asking price is £10500, and the car is located near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, UK.
Thanks for looking, please message me with any questions.
This is a great usable classic which turns heads wherever it goes. It's running better than ever and ready to be enjoyed this spring!
