Lovely V8 380 SL Merc.
Silver with navy and cheque interior. Original matching silver hard top, navy soft top which needs replacing, has a split in the rear window and some previous repairs, I never have it up as only use the car on sunny days. Always garaged.
MOT until until July 25th 2024.
I bought the car in July 2021 and have had some great fun it, but do not use it as much as I thought I would, hence the sale.
I have spent money mechanically having it serviced etc. Lots of receipts from my ownership.
The V8 engine pulls well and sounds fantastic, stops well and changes gear perfectly. I have driven from Leicestershire to Sussex (400 mile round trip) a few times with no problems and the car sits on the M25 like a modern SL. The original alloy wheels are in great condition with good tyres on them.
My plan was to take this car to the next level, with a full respray, the current paintwork is ok, with no rot or rust, but its faded in places. Chrome work is ok.
The interior is all original. One rip in the drivers seat bolster and the dashboard has cracked, I understand this is a common fault. All the lights and dials work as they should.
Its been a wedding car twice in my ownership!
A good solid car that could be made superb if wanted.
