Welcome to the Classified Sale of a good, strong, and well-loved 1987 Landrover 110 Truck Cab Pickup. This Landy has been the daily workhorse of a local engineer and is now for sale (privately) by Balaclava Garage in Dunoon as a result of bereavement.
We have done the work required by the recent MoT but otherwise have not cleaned her or done any cosmetic improvements... the vehicle remains in genuine 'as used' condition.
She is by no means a show queen, but has been loved and cared for as a strong, reliable and functional 4x4 pickup used daily and seen buzzing around Dunoon carrying all manner of goods for many years.
Most importantly... the Land Rover has been preserved by the fastidious and regular spray application of old engine oil. This has been responsible for the remarkable rust & rot - free condition of the chassis and frame... it is every bit as good as a galvanised chassis.
Despite her nearly 40 years (soon to be Tax & MoT free) on the road, the replacement 200 series Diesel and smooth permanent 4x4 transmission with High/ Low ration belie the vehicles' age and she is good to drive... and stop!
This early Defender (desirable sliding windows), would continue to make a great workhorse for may years to come or, is a sufficiently good base to be upgraded and smartened... either way, she is a great investment!.
For peace of mind, the Land Rover comes with a 12 month MoT.
