Simply breathtakingly beautiful. The owner of Talbot Lago, Mr. Lago, was firmly convinced that salvation was to be found in racing. He wanted to build light, fast cars and use their victories to polish up the brand's image and take it to the top international level. From now on it was called Talbot-Lago and was actually intended to become the epitome of French extravagance, just as Tony Lago had imagined. For 1936, Talbot Lago presented a new model that was nicknamed Baby, although the name did the car an injustice with its wheelbase of just under three meters. The T 15 was available with an OHV engine with a 2. 7 displacement 4-cylinder engine, geared either with conventional four-speed gearboxes or, for a hefty surcharge, with Wilson preselector gearboxes, which Lago was still all too familiar with. The breathtakingly beautiful convertible was made by Guilloré for Tabot. As if the breathtakingly beautiful convertible wasn't fascinating enough in itself, the quality of the restoration of this vehicle continues to impress over 20 years after its completion. The vehicle has a Wilson preselector transmission which cost a hefty extra charge at the time. The brake system and carburettor were overhauled and provided with new operating fluids etc. One of around 45 convertibles manufactured with a displacement of 2700 cm and around 120 hp.
