A 1950 Series 1 80" with an excellent original chassis. There is no rust, repairs or damage and the bulkhead is in equally good condition. The engine has been completely rebuilt with new pistons, main and big end bearings, valves, timing chain, flywheel, seals etc
Has had rebuilt steering box, carburettor, swivel housings, windscreen and braking system, including all new pipework.
Has had new tyres, exhaust, seats, tilt, springs, shock absorbers, horn/ dip switch and a stainless steel fuel tank. Has also been completely rewired.
Some of the work had been carried out by the previous owner but the majority carried out by us over the seven years we had owned the car. Bills for parts alone over £8000.
This early Land Rover has been regularly rallied (not trialled) over the length of our ownership and was a special exhibit at last year's Lincolnshire Show. The engine runs like a sewing machine and the car drives very well. It is a very sound, reliable and desirable early 80" which will provide years of fun.
Ill health is the only reason for the sale.
