The RA WRX STi Version III is one of THE most interesting and capable of the classic shape Imprezas with Special high performance features abound including a Boxer Master 4 engine developing about 300 PS. This is a red top unit, factory blueprinted, endowed with stronger internals and a higher 8000 rpm rev limit.
The gearbox is a close ratio unit with an adjustable centre differential (DCCD). The steering rack is quick geared for less turns lock-to-lock, the ECU is an exclusive tune and the turbo is the same as fitted to the 22B variant.
It's competition lightweight pedigree is further reinforced by the deletion from factory of sound deadening material, underseal, side skirts and plain unpainted mirrors and door handles. No ABS, power windows, electric mirrors or aerial and thinner glass are further Group N traits. No radio fitted from the factory but ICE is to some degree provided by a cacophony of healthy mechanical sounds.
