Vehicle information on Vincent Series D Rapide.
Previous owner was a Les Shaw from Seaham in Durham, he had the Vincent for 39 x years.
It was his only motorcycle and treasured. The low mileage is because he was a merchant seaman and only used the Vincent when home on leave.
When he became unable to ride, he would pull out from the shed, start up the Vincent,
Sit on and reminisce.
Later on he drained the petrol and oil, took the Vincent into the living room and would sit on, or just admire.
He was a lovely man, very choosy as to who he sold. As I had spent four years in the merchant navy as an engineer we got on famously well.
I bought the Vincent in 1994 and have had for 30 x years always stored in a heated garage.
The condition is original, matching numbers, restored mechanical and cosmetically to concurs standard.

Would be difficult to find a better example.
