Here is my beautiful XJS that I didn't think I'd be selling! I searched for this car for over 2 years and found it last year. Bought from Mr Wright who had kept it dry stored for 17 years and had never used it due to moving abroad and then retiring, Upon retiring decided to sell his beloved car as he was downsizing. To get it through the first MOT in 17 years, he spent over 600 pounds on front and rear calipers and brake pads. The car was originally bought new from H. R. Owen in Hampstead by Mr F Berrington who kept it in the family (2 family members also owned it). In that time the car was meticulously looked after and serviced with the following stamps present in the service book. HROwen 05/ 05/ 1992 988 miles. HROwen 07/ 10/ 1992 3576 miles. Paladin Jaguar 03/ 06/ 1993 6122 miles. Dutton Forshaw 10/ 12/ 1993 11, 479 miles. Dutton Forshaw 31/ 08/ 1994 21, 243 miles. Dutton Forshaw 24/ 01/ 1994 26, 236 miles. Dutton Forshaw 24/ 07/ 1995 32, 299 miles. Dutton Forshaw 22/ 01/ 1996 35, 502 miles. Stratstone 23/ 07/ 1996 38, 631 miles. Dutton Forshaw 29/ 01/ 1997 43, 035 miles. Dutton Forshaw 25/ 07/ 1997 45, 462 miles. Dutton Forshaw 48, 401 miles. Gatwick Jaguar 07/ 07/ 1998. Gatwick Jaguar 21/ 01/ 1999 51, 952 miles. Gatwick Jaguar 17/ 06/ 1999 53, 851 miles. Gatwick Jaguar 19/ 01/ 2000 56, 052 miles. Gatwick Jaguar 19/ 07/ 2000 57, 851 miles. Gatwick Jaguar 05/ 92/ 2001 60, 294 miles. Gatwick Jaguar 18/ 06/ 2001 61, 610 miles. Gatwick Jaguar 15/ 01/ 2022 64, 877 miles. Then Mr Wright purchased the car and had Elite Jaguar specialists 13/ 05/ 2005 do another full service 67, 471 miles. Its was then put in the garage and only did 794 miles in 17 years with him just getting it out for the occasional run on a summers day! Since I was fortunate enough to find and buy the car I have spent 1779 pound with Motorline Uk, a classic car specialist in Sussex to update the AC to use modern gas for cool air, new tyres, full oil - filters and consumables service, the few stone chips on the bonnet blown in to make the paint work perfect. I then had VRS valeting do a full valet including 2 stage paint correction to take out swirls and ceramic coat the car - the pictures do not do this car justice. I have driven the car to Beaulieu to a jaguar show and along Brighton seafront on sunny evenings! The car has not seen a drop a of rain in nearly 20 years. The only thing I haven't got round to doing is there is a very small dent on the rear bumper. Car could be shown or in a collection. I put the car sorn and dry stored for winter.
