x1 advisory on MOT last year, surface rust on drivers floor pan
It's well serviced and it's been turn key reliable, I keep it garaged at all times - but I don't have the energy or time for it now, albeit there's nothing to do on it from a maintenance perspective, but the garage is rented, so that's money going out just for storage. I'd keep it if I had somewhere to put it for free, but maybe it's time to move on.
Needs a new flywheel, judders in reverse. I should have done it when I built it but I didn't know at the time. Forward gears are fine, 5 speed by the way, it has new transmission fluid in the case. I've just had it's annual oil change and oil filter. New fuel filter. The carb was refurbished 10 years ago when it was in my Caravelle, so I'd say it's probably time for another refurb. to keep it reliable. 2 sets of keys, I changed the wafers so everything works off same key, doors, lockers boxes, petrol cap but not the glovebox.
Strong engine, pulls well, fast even. Handles really well in the corners and comfortable on the roads; great shocks those Bilsteins.
It gets a lot of attention so it's smiles for miles, as they say.
Nice toy - I've enjoyed it immensely, you will too.
