So here we have my lovely March 2001 SL320 (R129) in Obsidian Black with matching hardtop and Saffron leather interior which I have owned for the past 9 years. This car has been my pride and joy and has been super reliable taking us on several European trips with the Mercedes Benz club to Italy, Spain, France etc. The car comes with full service history, has been serviced annually regardless of mileage, has all the handbooks, two keys and all receipts. I had 2 new genuine OEM front wings fitted a few years ago which took care of probably the one weak point on these models. The fully automatic soft top has always worked as it should with the material still in reasonable condition for its age but the pliable windows although still watertight are unsurprisingly beginning to suffer and need replacing. I've looked into replacing the complete hood and this can be done for under £2k. Check with the Hood Guys in Birmingham. My main reason for the sale is that I've bought another Mercedes convertible (CLK) because I need 4 seats to take our growing grandchildren out.

My car was originally registered in London and I have the sales receipt for when it was bought by its second owner for £38k. This owner sold it to a fellow director of the company, for his wife. So I'm the 4th owner. As mentioned above I've had 2 new front wings fitted and new rear shock absorbers. I've just fitted 2 new front tyres and the rears are still good. This car has plenty of boot space regardless of whether the hood is up or down which makes it an ideal holiday car.
