Dutton P1.
This is the oldest Dutton in existence, being number 2 of a total of 9 cars ever built. It was a factory “test mule” for the Triumph front suspension as later used on the Dutton B models. Absolute unique for such an early “kit” car, the P1 comes with a complete owner history as well as a substantial documentation pack, including period magazines, previous owner notes.
The P1 has the mentioned Triumph front suspension, Austin Healey rear live axle which is both located and sprung by quarter-elliptic leaf springs, with lever-arm shock absorbers and top links. Wheels are 13-inch Dunlop D1s wheels. Power comes from a 1275cc BMC engine with a 45 DCOE carb. Coupled to a 4-speed gearbox.
It is in running condition but needs some attention to the wiring (lights). Pretty quick.
Overall, a nice condition for its age.

Dutton Cantera.
Another factory-built Dutton as it was the factory demonstrator back in the day. In most period publications this car can be seen with its registration, NOT 999R.
The car is not running at present but is complete (except for the 2 seats) .
Triumph front suspension, Ford rear axle, 2 Liter Ford Pinto engine and 4-speed gearbox.
