Fully restored (body off) rare 1988 XJS 3. 6 L with manual transmission.
Extensive restoration (2 years) by classic car professional in Milan. Vehicle has its Jaguar Heirtaeg certificates. Matching Numbers.

The vehicle had only one owner from 1988 to 2019. This english gentleman who brought with him in Italy when he retired. The car is RHD with italian car plates.

This fabulous XJS still has its original sticker from the Jaguar dealer who sold it to the previous owner, as well as a lot of documentation.

The original Jaguar radio was sent to Clarion (manufacturer) in Germany for a full restoration. some (infamous) Luca parts were changed with Bosch's for even more reliability.

Over 30kEUR were spent for restoration. Vehicle is being sold at 50%! I may consider an exchange with specific vehicles.

Vehicle can be seen close to Milan Malpensa Airport.

I bought this car back in 2019 when I was working for an association gathering the world's top 150 classic car collectioners. I always liked the XJS (the way it looks, the way it drives).
Over the years, I never got bored of the XJS design and line which qre incredibly modern.

When I decided to buy out, within a project managed by the association above, I looked for different cars on websites: a lot of cheaper (and riskier) V12, a lot of automatic gear (nice? but super expensive to fix). I wanted reliability so I chose one of the rarest delcination of the XJS: the V6 3. 6 manual. According to Jaguar Heritage only 500 were made like mine.

I almost abandoned the idea of finding the pearl, until a friend told me of a Signal Red Jaguar XJS 3. 6 Manual was sitting in his garage. The car belonged to a man who spent his life in the UK and retired in Italy. He was now quite old and decided to let the car go (his wife was no stranger to this "decision"...). Indeed, he was pretty sad about it, but over the years he didn't take much care of the car which was in need of a service, new tyres.

When I visited the car the first time, I felt something special: like digging the mud and finding a small gem. It was exciting. The smell, the falling roof liner, the dust, I called a team of people I worked with (including the "carrozziere" who usually deals with very, very rare cars) to get their opinion.

At the end of the brainstorming, two options were clear:
- do a simple paint job, get it on the road and sell it
or
. do a real, profound, restoration hunting for every bit of UK rust and bring it back as its original splendor, using only Jaguar/ SNG Baratt parts and make it a daily driver.

The 2nd option (going for a long, careful and extensive restoration) was the way I decided to go because I wanted to enjoy the car and possibly bring my daughter to scholl when I wanted to.
Although I wanted to have a new interior fitted but my interiors guy refused to do so, claiming that the interiors needed only a deep wash. Of course, the roof liner was replaced (purchased in UK and fitted). I also had a new set of moquettes into the car trunk and the arm rest liner. The next car owner will receive also a spare set of handmade car carpets.

On September 2022 (and quite a budget later...) I picked up my brand new Jag from the restorator after 2, 5 years. Since then I had no issue at all (recently changed the gear pedal slave cylinder) and vehicle is used and maintained.
