Our 450 SLC 5. 0 is one of only 1615 units and was delivered on June 28, 1979 by the Rotterdam franchise "Mercedes Garage J van dijk en Dochters B. V." delivered to its proud first Dutch owner. No expense was spared on this car and with options such as a limited slip differential, skylight and air conditioning, lavishly equipped is an understatement.

From the included original service book we can see that the car has always been maintained very correctly over the years and taken care of where necessary. In the course of 2013, the car came into the hands of a new owner who spared no expense to completely strip the car down to bare metal and then expertly had it repainted in its original silver color, leaving it in perfect condition to this day. By the way, the extensive restoration is fully documented and reflected in the meticulously maintained history that comes with the car.
At the end of 2015, the car was sold to the 3rd and current owner who, as a true Mercedes fanatic, re-examined all the history of the car and cleverly compiled it into a magnificent whole. Not only the history, but also the car was taken care of down to the smallest details, he had periodically correct electrically adjustable & heated Recaro C seats installed in the correct blue Pullman velvet, performed a major maintenance, completely overhauled the front suspension and so much more ... All the good care of previous owners ensure that this car is still in absolute top condition.

The car drives well in all gears and with its all-aluminum M117 5. 0-liter V8 delivering a whopping 240hp, it is a true dream to drive. This SLC is at home everywhere, so the car can serve perfectly for a finned rally but also just as well for a quiet Sunday drive with the whole family. In short, our Mercedes 450 SLC with its robust performance, 2+2 seating and exceptional ride quality is the car of choice for those seeking style and comfort in a sporty coupe.

The Mercedes-Benz SLC is part of the legendary R107 series, introduced in 1971 as a follow-up to the R113 series, which helped form the basis for what we currently know as the phenomenal "SL class. This 450 SLC 5. 0 was developed specifically as a homologation model for international rally competitions, a surprising move by the German automaker.

The SLC 5. 0 is an elegant and stylish coupe, offering the perfect balance between sportiness and comfort. With a design like a true 2+2, side windows without pillars with a raised roofline for extra headroom in the rear, the SLC offers comfort during every drive for both driver and passengers. The suspension is fully independent and supported by disc brakes, guaranteeing a stable and safe ride at all times. The 450 SLC 5. 0 was powered by a new 5. 0-liter V8 with an aluminum engine block and heads to save weight, additionally it was also equipped with an aluminum hood, trunk lid and wheels.
