1972 MG Midget 1275cc in Harvest Gold, MOT and tax exempt. Popular round wheel arch model with reliable A Series engine in very good and original condition. Appears to have been garaged for most, if not all, of it's life and was thoroughly inspected last year by an MG specialist. The chassis, floor pan and body are in really good condition with no signs of rot at all. There's no signs of any previous welding, and the sills appear to be the original ones!

I've owned the car for 3 years, I'm a member of the MG Owners Club and will be genuinely sad to see it go. In my ownership the following work has been carried out, on top of regular and meticulous maintenance:
Full stainless steel exhaust fitted
Engine tuned
New condenser (race specification)
New clutch and throw-out bearing
New engine and gearbox mounts
New lower metal cooling pipe and tap
New front suspension bushes
New brakes all round (including calipers, flexible hoses etc)
New battery (approx. 1 year old)
New headrests fitted

The tyres are in really good condition with plenty of tread left. At some point in the past it's had an engine rebuild and been converted to run on unleaded fuel.

As you'd imagine, with all this work done the car runs and drives really well. I use it fairly regularly, but only when it's dry and there's no salt on the road. It's done the South Downs run the last 3 years, the London to Brighton Classic Car Run once, a trip to Silverstone, several drives to Goodwood and most recently my own wedding without any issues.

The body work does have some small imperfections and a couple of small dents, but as I say it's very original and for a 52 year old car that hasn't been resprayed it's very good.

The door locks and boot lock are all in good working order and operate on the same key which appears to be original. I have 2 sets of keys for the car.

Also included are the original tonneau bars, full tonneau cover (not in the best condition but usable) and half tonneau. A few tools such as rear brake adjustment spanner and grease gun for maintenance can also be included as well as a few spare parts, owners manual and Haynes manual.

I also have a large file full of paperwork and history for the car dating back a few decades.

I'm more than happy to answer any further questions and serious buyers are welcome to come and view the car.
