This has recently been purchased by myself and hadn’t been started in 10 years or so. Managed to get it fired up today (14th April 2024) and drives really well. All brakes, gears, clutch and electrical are working great. The bike has been in dry storage during this time and is in really good condition.
The bike does need a little tidying up and polishing however (hence the low reserve). The chrome needs a polish, the wiring needs a few zip ties, the fuel pipes need changing (I used temp ones to get it running as the originals were missing).
I struggled to kick start due to the high compression, but bump started absolutely fine. May need a stronger leg than mine!
The guy who owned the bike sadly passed, but was a very accomplished engineer (built his own model steam trains in his workshop) and obviously really looked after the bike and restored to a high standard.
There are a few spare parts included, wheel, tyres, pistons etc
A nice little (almost complete) project.
I have videos of the bike running & me riding going through the gears etc, can send on to buyers.
