Absolutely beautiful BMW R100CS. This is a genuine {lots of fakes out there } CS stamped on the frame , from 1983, with matching frame and engine numbers. Registered as an Historic Vehicle so MOT and Tax exempt . The current MOT expires in July 2024.
This bike was restored a few year back by Gary Burton {of BaMW Restorations} and Keith Shaw {of Shaw Stainless Steel fixings} and has only covered 3k miles since then. At restoration the following was done.

Complete gearbox rebuild
New Clutch friction plate
Replaced Crank seal { sensible when doing the above }
New Oil pump
Starter overhauled
New timing chain and adjusters while doing oil pump
Timing cover refinished
Engine casing vapour blasted
Carbs overhauled and vapour blasted, new jets and seals
Top end overhaul: Heads reconditioned, barrels reconditioned, new piston rings, vapour blasted barrels and heads.
Stainless Steel push rods fitted, new gaskets and seals.
Rear differential vapour blasted and checked, new seal fitted.
All brakes replaced and calipers rebuilt with new seals.
Sump removed, vapour blasted , oil pick up cleaned , new gaskets.
New tyres fitted.
Complete New Stainless Steel exhaust fitted front to rear.
Dream machine paint job in Smoked Red/ black .
All bolt on parts to frame powder coated.
Frame Repainted.
Wheels refinished.
Full stainless steel fastener set.
Full service front to rear.
New Battery fitted

Since then the bike was sold to a chap who didn't ride it due to ill health. I bought the bike in 2022. Recommissioned it again, with all new service parts, stripped and rebuilt the carbs,{ mice had nested in the air box ! and a spider nest was in one of the carbs !}. Bought a brand new set of period panniers and frames from Motoworks { hepco and becker } for the bike and fitted a new battery, and have covered 2k miles over the last two years. I have just completed the following for this seasons riding.

Front forks overhauled with new stanchions , progressive fork springs fitted, new damper rod seals, main seals and fork oil, repainted lower fork legs and new side reflectors.
Steering head bearing replaced {good practice with the forks out{
Monza style fuel filler fitted {original included}
Replaced all the push rod tube oil seals, and associated gaskets and o'rings, retorqued head bolts.
Full service, plugs, engine oil, gearbox oil, diff oil and drive shaft oil, new filters all around, set valve clearances and timing.
Replaced handle bar switch gear with new old stock.
New light tint screen fitted .
Replaced corroded headlamp bowl.
Overhauled rear brakes with new shoes and cam oil seals and felt washer.
Replaced foot rest rubbers all around.
Fitted a new Surefoot side stand.
New Clock seal fitted and clock rubber surrounds replaced with new.
Fuel taps overhauled.

This bike is stunning and gets loads of comments wherever i take it. I have paperwork and receipts to back up the work listed. Loads of MOT's back to 1997 and an MOT History report. and loads of old Tax discs. BMW tool roll , tool and tray with rubber lid and a workshop manual will be included. Plus various service parts, oils, gaskets , plugs, O'rings and carb diaphragms, and second set of keys for bike and panniers

A friend of mine sold another example of this bike a few months ago in the same colour scheme, and his bike was very similar to mine condition wise , having been restored by the same people that mine initially. I have loved and cherished this bike, and believe its near perfect now. The next owner can just ride and enjoy.

Classic looks and the one of the best colour schemes they did. Great performance and practicality all rolled into one. Redesigned original style panniers , they lock onto the bike, have lockable lids, are like new and.... take a full face helmet too.
