1980 Ducati MHR 900

Here we have a very original Mike Hailwood Replica. I bought the bike from a very nice chap in Scotland where it had been stored for 37 years in their dining room. I got the bike here and decided it needed a deep clean and recommission only. So that's what I did. However as always on these journeys the paintwork had several defects from storage and the front wheel was faded from the sun. I had the wheels rebuilt repainted / repolished in the matching colour and new tyres installed. (The bike comes with what were probably the original Pirelli Phantom tyres I keep everything) The body work was repainted by the chap who paints all the Made In Italy bikes. She was then recommissioned mechanically by Alf of Alfs Motorcycles who looks after all my bevels, he noted the lead seal was in place on the engine crankcases. So she is sadly for sale as after a cancer operation I cannot comfortable ride her and she needs riding. I store all my bikes correctly, but when I pulled her out of the garage she fired straight up with a new battery but was a little fluttery on the rear carb. I will get this sorted when Alf can fit it in.
She has the original 1980 build tags on the brake lines and rides straight and true. Frame number 1094 from memory.
All in all a good quality well running machine that will need nothing spent on it. I have 5 other bevels so without being arrogant I know what good looks like.
I have included some pics from the original advert and the deep clean. The bike has never been MOT'd as its now historic .. I quite like that aspect.
