I bought this a couple of years ago and haven’t really ridden it much as it’s too nice and I have several other bikes.
Only 1600 Valiants were produced and this one was converted to Veeline specification in the early 60’s.
The Valiant engine was based on the LE, but was air cooled and overhead valve. It also has twin carbs.
At some point in its life, the handlebars were shortened which gives it a nice sporty look, although not as easy to ride.
This bike has its original, steel engine covers (often these are missing or fibreglass copies).
A very nice, oil-tight bike that isn’t getting used and I really do need the space.
This bike comes with original letters to and from Velocette as well as bills, etc.
There is sufficient paperwork to show that it was converted to a Veeline in 1963 and had many issues (as they generally did).
