VW Golf GTi
Built as a Group 2 rally car.
The car is like new!
The restoration project was finished at the end of 2021, and the aim was to build a very good rally car that could participate in historic rallies.
The car has finished in 7 regularity races since it was built into a rally car. It won the vfirst place over all in the 2022 Greek Regularity Master Trophy, and has never again competed ever since.
Great emphasis has been placed on the body of the car, with many hours of work by professionals in accordance with the VW motosport manual.

Strengthen: interior, engine compartment, steering and suspension mounting points.
FIA approved weld roll cage
Cutting out the fenders according to group 2 guideline to accept appropriate fender flares.
High quality interior and exterior car paint.

1781cc PB GTi engine, 286 camshaft, gas flowed cylinder head, 11. 2:1 CR, stainless steel exhaust manifold, rally exhaust, quick release ignition module.

GTi 8v close ratio gearbox, 4. 25:1 final drive, competition cluch
New and checked Cv joints

Stock Golf tank, twin pierburg fuel pumps, twin fuel filters, aeroquip stainless- teflon fuel line running inside the car, two twin Weber 40 DCOE carburetors
• Running gear
Double skinned reinforced A-arms, reinforced rear beam (group 4 type)
Bilstein shock absorbers
• Brakes
Allround discs, 256mm front, 239 rear, Aeroquip stainless-teflon lines running inside car, hydraulic handbrake, adjustable brake bias, cnc alluminium caliper carriers with twin sensor holes for navigation device propose.
• Interior and controls
FIA approved fixing seat bases, FIA seats and safety harnesses (expired), custom driver and co-driver alloy foot rest, quick shift gear stick, VDO gauges on quick removable cluster, Gti steering wheel, map light, rally co-drivers dashboard, two sparewheels alloy mounting base, bilstein hi-lift jack, spare ignition set module, spare fuel tank on special mounting base.
•Additional equipment
Four auxiliary hella lights, four windshild washer jets are instaled, alluminum skid plate are placed under oil pan, 7Jx15 alloy wheels, semislick tyres. It's really joyfull to drive this unique car, a truly collectable original GTi mk1, which has received huge attention during its creation and after its completion.
The feeling inside the car as a driver, but also as a co- driver, is great!
It's easy to maintain, light, powerfull, very competitive, and a successfull example of motoring history.
The car never had any retirement or any mechanical failure; it is truly very reliable. It is registered with Greek license plates and I have a rich photo gallery regarding its history.
I have great memories with this little beast and I am willing to answer at all the questions you might have.
