Description
This delightful early GTi was registered in August 1981 and is presented is lovely condition throughout. Finished in shining red the car is in excellent condition and is largely in it’s standard form with the exception of a modern radio.
The bodywork is in superb condition. There are one or two very small area that a new owner might want to retouch but that’s becoming very fussy over the car. The paintwork shines brightly and polishes well and the wheels are unblemished. Inside, the car is immaculate. The original seats are in superb condition as are the carpets and glass. All the electrics work as they should and the parcel shelf is free from any speaker holes!
The engine sounds just like an early GTi, fires up easily whether cold or hot and revs easily through the range. The gearbox does exactly what is should with no crunches or signs of mis-use. The clutch also feels strong and tight with no sign of wear.
With just four previous keepers and 92k miles it’s clear this is a class that’s been looked after well by it’s custodians. There is a huge history file showing how much love has been shown.
