Description
I have decided to sell my Triumph café racer.
This bike is newly registered as a 500 and is listed as historic, so no tax or mot needed.
The bike has been well put together, not by me, I inherited it, but I have gone over the bike and can see it is well built. The photos show how good the condition is. The wheels have been rebuilt with new tyres as well, new rear shocks, new exhaust, rebuilt front end. The bike sports ace bars with cuppini levers, a new custom-made tank and new speedo.
The V5c has the correct frame and engine numbers. The frame is a 3Ta and the engine a 5Ta. The bike comes with a Triumph twin leading shoe front brake.
I have fired the bike up on the bench and it runs well. I cannot kick start bikes anymore, but I have had a friend over to kick start it for me. Gearbox works fine as do the brakes. Electrics are all working, and the bike is charging. Apart from running up and down my lane to test the gears and brakes, the bike hasn’t been ridden in my ownership. Please be aware of this when looking, as this is not a new bike, and as with all old bikes it will undoubtedly need things doing to it if you are intending to use it as a regular ride.
So, to summarise, this is a good little 500 café racer with current V5c. The engine runs well and the gearbox, brakes, clutch and electrics all work fine. The bike will need fully testing before proper use even though everything appears to be fine, as I haven’t been using it myself.
You are welcome to come and have a look if you want. I am open to reasonable offers.
Thanks a lot. This bike is part of my collection of over 20 classic bikes. I can no longer ride so am selling off the collection.
