1996 Mazda MX5 Eunos VR Ltd Combination B
Extremely rare 1996 Eunos VR Ltd in excellent green mica. One of only 800 produced for the Japanese market with very few examples now remaining. First registered in the UK in 2008.
This is a particularly nice example having always been garaged, but used regularly as a fine weather only, second/ third car. Not had any work for rust damage, which is extremely unusual. Low mileage for the age of the vehicle, 94, 445 miles ( 151, 995 km ).
1883cc, with 16-bit engine management producing 130ps at 6500 rpm.
5 speed manual. Oil pressure and water temperature spot on.
Torsen LSD with 4. 3 final drive. It has Bilstein dampers, a lightened fly wheel and extra bracing. Black leather seats, with colour- coded “Roadster” Emblem in very good condition. 3 spoke Momo steering wheel, alloy gear knob and handbrake handle. The gear stick gaiter surround and speaker covers are also finished in light alloy. Enkei alloy wheels in good condition. Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Stainless steel exhaust. Immobiliser, spare space saver wheel, and electric aerial. Comes with two keys.
The original green soft top has been replaced with a black vinyl one by a previous owner and is in good condition with no leaks. Excellent MOT record, currently until June 2025 with no advisories ( check it out !). Paperwork for my ownership with also Japanese paperwork ( no idea what it says ).
I have owned this car for nearly 3 years. During this time it has been serviced and maintained by MX5 specialist “5-Speed”. It has had a replacement battery; clutch master cylinder; coil pack and ignition leads; full geometry set up and wheel alignment. I have fitted a wind deflector, stainless steel front grill and a clock.
It’s great to drive and handles brilliantly. In 55 years of motoring it has been one of the most fun cars I’ve owned and never fails to put a smile on my face. I’m reluctantly selling due to advancing years ( me not the car! ). An appreciating Classic that should give many more years of enjoyable motoring. £6, 950 or best offer.
