Major repairs/ improvements of car in recent years:
Bodywork restoration (body panel welding and repairs) and full repaint;
Suspension - rebuild of the entire rear suspension, rebuild braking system (calipers, discs, pads, pipes, parking brake), new shock absorbers and wheel bearings. The "Footballs" wheels have been refurbished and the wheel geometry has been adjusted.
Engine - cooling system professionally flushed/ maintained, new water pump (!) and thermostat, refurbished radiator, new fuel pump, all necessary seals/ gaskets replaced. Carburettors synchronised/ adjusted (last emission measurements – HC (ppm): 117; CO, % : 1, 68).
Electrical system - rebuilt alternator, starter motor, new spark plug wires and spark plugs, battery, replaced all dashboard lights and checked all "extras" (heated window, "fasten belts" etc). This year a new SAAB NOS (new old stock) headlight wiper motor was installed and the lever mechanism was restored. New SAAB NOS headlights fitted.

Interior - Refurbished 70's SAAB Sport & Rally Momo steering wheel, new SAAB NOS VDO econometer installed. Grundig Porto 21 radio, Original SAAB classic brown floor mats (front passenger side one unfortunately from a different set), Original SAAB front seat headrests.
Exterior - Original Hella 70's SAAB 99 front spoiler, SAAB boot lid spoiler, new chrome windscreen trim, 70's SEV Marchel Starlux auxiliary fog lights in good condition (needs reflector restoration). Authentic 70s side stripe stickers.
Two ignition keys (all door/ trunk cores restored).
Regular maintenance and use - since the body restoration, the car has been driven on average up to 3000 km per season (spring to autumn). All MOT tests passed without any remarks. Historic vehicle status updated and valid until 2028. The car isn’t used in winter and is stored in a garage.
Engine oil and filters changed every season, regardless of mileage. Gearbox adjustment and oil change done about 6000km ago. Car maintenance is carried out by specialists at Latvian SAAB service centre "ArTEH" or in a personal workshop. Invoices and other documents are available for all major repairs.
The owner is a member of the Latvian SAAB Club and the Latvian Antique Car Club, Youngtimer section.
In addition to the new owner – original SAAB 99 dealer parts catalogue from the 1970s (new catalogue condition), service maintenance and promotional literature as well as new spare parts (e. g. carburettors repair kit, new springs, complete exhaust system) and rarely available second-hand spare parts.
