Mazda MX5 , Mark 1 1997 , 1. 6l, Red, 84k
It is in great condition, spent majority of it’s life garaged, with no rust issues. Body in great condition. It’s a superb original car , with a few important upgrades.
I upgraded the soft top to a Mohair roof (£750 with new Rain rail etc) fitted by MX5 Parts in Portsmouth April 2023, and up graded to Power steering (£800) fitted by Doctor MX5 in Southampton. (have manual parts if you want to swap out, but the PS is great!) Speakers replaced.
Tyres are in perfect condition, as I have done very low milage since replacing them.
MOT until Sept 2024 – Exhaust replaced for last MOT, and Ball Joints sorted out
It is a 26 year old car, so wear on the drivers seat, and a few areas of paintwork with some fade etc, but as per the photos still shines up very well, and is a joy to own, starts well, crisp gear change and fun round corners – only selling as have too many cars on the driveway!
Perfect time to buy to enjoy the roof down, but still works well as an everyday car in the winter! Always brings a smile to your face when you pop the headlights. Purchased 2 1/ 2 years ago from a car collector downsizing his collection (he was holding MX as it was appreciating in value) so it was, and has been well looked after, and had money spent whenever required.
