Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport
Recently landed from South Africa. The UK registration has been applied for and the vehicle will be MOT/ TAX/ ULEZ exempt.
Body is in lovely condition and being a SA 1600 Sport it has the export spec strengthening points. Wings, strut tops, sills, chassis rails, rear arches, pillars front and rear floors/ wheel wells are good. Will need a very minor repair on a small hole at front passenger floor. Paintwork is okay few marks. Has been repainted at some point. Original black 1600 sport front spoiler is in good nick same as the quarter bumpers and has a nice pair of Hella spotlights!
1600 crossflow which starts and runs with no problems. Standard 4 speed box and sport running gear. Carb will probably need adjusting due to the different climate but it starts really well and sounds smooth. We recommend it will obviously need a good check over before being driven on the roads even though it wikk be MOT exempt.
Standard sport Interior in good condition. Has working gauges in the dashboard which look cool! Seats are tidy but usual marks/ tears. Good original headlining.
Standard deep dish original African sport steels.
So overall a good example which could checked over and be ready to use this summer.
