I am selling my 1963 Royal Enfield Continental 250cc. It has been restored to a high standard by an Engineer whom I bought it from last year.
Being over 60 years old it qualifies as historic for free road tax and no M. O. T is requered. In addition it usually has cheap insurance.
The bike requires nothing more than a new battery which I will provide when it`s sold. It has not been used for quite a while so will require the normal re-commisioning. with new petrol etc.
Currently I have the more standard upright handlebars fitted but there are the "ACE" bars with the bike. I am having to learn that my motorcycling days are behind me ( I am now 78) and as I have not really used this bike I should let nostalgic aspirations pass me by. I bought this bike last year based on previous ownership of Crusader sports 250cc (2 of them) and my interests in classic cars has taken over. I know that to restore a bike to this standard requires more capital investment that buying one already restored andI believe is the best option.
