1992 Cagiva Mito 125cc Eddie Lawson Replica 7 Speed FULL POWER – TOTAL RESTORATION – SIMPLY AMAZING CONDITION
This is my 1992 ‘J’ reg Cagiva Mito Mk2 125cc Eddie Lawson Replica “Restomod” which has been lovingly restored with all the “best bits” that I’ve cherry picked throughout the Mito's production years. I've thoroughly enjoyed this bike for the last 4 years but it's now time to let it go as I move onto new projects.
This bike would fit perfectly into a collection or work equally well as an epic first bike.
The bike runs & rides as good as it looks, needs for nothing and is ready to enjoy.
At the start of my ownership the bike had a full nut n' bolt restoration. This work included but is not limited to:
* A full fairing restoration with respray, inside & out, in the correct period colour Cagiva Red. All new decals were fitted and lacquered in, alongside a new screen plus new stainless fixings.
* Fuel tank professionally restored, internally nickel plated so zero rust problems.
* A meticulous, total engine/ gearbox rebuild. The crank rebuilt by specialists PJME, a Wiseco Forged Piston, V-Force Reed Valves, all new SKF/ KOYO bearings & seals, Clutch kit, and a 34mm Dellorto VHSB Carb. (The engine rebuild included a genuine NOS Cagiva “7037” EVO cylinder barrel with a Stan Stevens Stage1 port/ tune.)
* Professionally dyno tuned and setup with accompanying dyno chart showing 32BHP at back wheel (* circa 36-40BHP @ flywheel depending on who’s formula is used to calculate from RWHP)
* New Arrow exhaust system (with Genuine Carbon CE Marked Cagiva end can which is legal) not too loud, just right.
* The frame, subframe, hangers, etc have been powder coated.
* 6-Spoke magnesium EVO wheels fitted, also powder coated and wrapped in new Michelin Pilot Power tyres.
* Original bolts/ spindles/ axles have been re-zinc-plated or renewed.
* All bearings replaced, wheels, swingarm, rear shock, linkage, headstock, etc.
* A full brake refurb front & back. Caliper seals, Braided HEL brake lines, Pads, Master Cylinders, etc.
* Front suspension rebuilt with new fork seals & fork oil.
* Other things include, new indicators, chain & sprockets, all fluids, battery, & seats reupholstered.
The Mito has been professionally set up by renowned 2-stroke tuner Mutts Nutts and is putting out 32BHP at the wheel! With dyno chart printout (* circa 36-40BHP @ Flywheel).
Since the restoration, the bikes been regularly maintained and serviced, always run on Fully Synthetic Motul 710 2-Stroke oil and has just had a top end rebuild to double check everything is tip top for the new owner. I can only describe the bike as being a labour of love and never wanted for anything.
Fresh engine has only been to the MOT station and back and will need running in by the new owner.
Accompanying the bike is a large folder full of invoices to back this work up, a service manual, previous MOT's, dyno chart, etc.
12 Months MOT with no advisories until May 2025. I did a HPi check which was clear (print included) when I bought it, the V5 is present and in my name.
The bike is based in YORK although I am able to arrange delivery within mainland UK, if needed at £2 per mile.
Those in the know, know that the MK2 7-Speed MITO’s are the best and most sought after, it’s been a blast to own and restore, Yes; I am totally OCD which is why it’s as good as it is!
All viewings are welcome and encouraged, it’s better than the pictures show, I doubt you will ever find another faster or better, the ultimate full power, 7Speed 2-stroke Cagiva Mito.
Price is firm and BUY IT NOW, no offers or low bids, it’s worth every penny.
