'90 T25/ 3 WESTFALIA ATLANTIC SYNCRO
At Resto Haus, we've earnt the reputation for marketing some very rare & special models & I was recently contacted by a serious collector of some of the last T25/ T3 made . Production of the T25 model ended in July 1990 this one was registered in March of that year & Westfalia built a limited edition model known as the Atlantic which was aimed at people who intended to use the bus all year round or in winter conditions as it came in standard form with double glazing and an Eberspacher night heater. There are very few of these models left & just to make this bus even rarer, its the hugely desirable 4 wheel drive Syncro of which we believe only 16 were ever produced & we have 3 of them, all together in one place !! So as you can see this is the hi-roof model, which not only offers a permanent double roof bed, but I think really adds to the "Overlander" butch look . As do the raised "Seikel", suspension & 16" Mefro steels & chunky BF Goodrich A/ T tyres, complete with the spare wheel mounted on the rear hatch. Finished in L90E (9018) Alpine White (Alpinweiss) (with white roof) with those great Atlantic decals it really does make a statement. Open the cab doors and your greeted by the gorgeous "Isri" pilot seats, clad in cream leather , folding armrests & are even heated. The passenger seat also swivels to face the rear , when camping. You'll have also noticed the wood rim steering wheel & axillary gauge console. The icing on the cake , for the driving pleasure is the factory power steering. The history file is incredible, with the original sales receipt, every service receipt by the main Volkswagen dealer form 1990 - 1999 & then many from then to 2019. The original 1. 6 diesel engine was upgraded a a 1. 9 AAZ turbo diesel engine with approximately 40, 000klms & an extended WBX gearbox including SA plates, making it ready for a TDi conversion in the future should you wish ? Slide back the door to reveal the very complete Westfalia camping interior, which incidentally still has every original cushion and door card in the exclusive Atlantic upholstery. The conversion has a Waeco compressor fridge, twin gas hob, sink, Truma water heater, Ebersacher diesel parking heater . It has a 100w solar panel mounted on the roof, an underslung gas tank, double glazing through the rear with opening sections & even 2 roof pop ups which is great in the summer. You have the Westy swing out table to serve the double rock'n'roll seat, which still has its 2 headrests & 2 x 3 point rear seat belts. The list of features goes on & on, it really is a special bus, overall the bodywork is in good condition & this bus will only go up in value. It arrived from Germany in 2019 with a current TUV certificate & although not registered in the UK it did pass a full UK mot in December 2019 with no advisories, before being stored in the collectors facility.
