1971 reg, 1970 model Triumph GT6 Mk2. Overdrive. Powder blue with black leather interior. In lovely original condition. Original hubcaps, upholstery, badges, bumpers etc. Recent body-off re spray. New water pump, exhaust manifold, alternator, clutch master cylinder, tyres all round. Carburettors rebuilt. Aftermarket shocks. HID headlights. Updated brakes. Drives well, engine very sweet. Gearbox excellent.
A couple of issues hence price -
Overdrive not functional as solenoid needs replacing, new wiring installed but haven’t been able to remove the old solenoid (famously tricky) to replace.
Slight tick from rear shaft, would indicate UJ needs replacing soon. The respray (done before my ownership) is well applied but a little amateurish. Some very small bubbles of rust showing. Fuel pump doesn’t prime well and therefore needs to be primed manually. I think probably only needs the in-line fuel filter replacing as no problems when underway. Occasionally the fuel and temp gauges fail intermittently. I believe could be voltage regulator. Or even loose connection. Otherwise excellent. Highly sought after beautiful useable classic, with loads of potential. Desirable Mk2 model with many new parts. No swaps, serious enquiries only.
