1984 W124 Mercedes 240D manual 5 speed, genuine 76k miles, one previous owner and with full documented Mercedes service history. Backed up with a plethora of MOT certificates.
This stunning, unrestored original example is in excellent condition inside/ out and underneath, coupled with faultless mechanics.
A51KEA (potentially valuable registration no.) was manufactured Feb 1984 and supplied new to previous owner on the 1st March. Therefore being exempt from ULEZ, CAZ, TAX and MOT.
Although is currently MOT’d until Sept 5th.
This particular 240D is very well and unusually specified with electric windows, sunroof, self levelling suspension (unheard of on a saloon chassis) and towing equipment.
Previous owner owned and ran a race horse stud farm, and was in cahoots with Al Maktoom.
Condition, well, the pictures speak for themselves, as this was coveted example kept in a heated garage, and its level of preservation can only be described as incredible, apparently never ever seeing a wet day! EVEN SPARE IS UNUSED!
Bodywork is superb and rust free and paint is original.
Interior is unmarked with its original lambs wool seat covers, is utterly time warp with dealer stickers and tax disc holder.
Mechanically A1. No squeaks, rattles or whines. The 5 speed manual transmission makes for good progress and can cope with surprisingly high cruising speeds with pretty good fuel economy, expect between 37-43 mpg.
And simply drives like new.
So she’s fully serviced and re-commissioned, with only genuine Mercedes parts and ready to go.
The only reason I’m selling it that she’s too good for what I’d intended, and needs to go to a collection/ good home.
