From 1978 to 1981 the car was not driven and remained brand new, under a Portuguese law of the time.

It has never been restored .... (unmolested), it is in incredible condition despite the paint having been touched up on one or two panels .... , but it retains its factory paint in about 80%, still with an excellent patina
The entire body is (100%) Rust free (always kept in a garage in an ambient climate of 19º) , but unfortunately, and as a less positive point, there is a small dent in the front spoiler and also a scratch on the rear one and a bit of the (chrome) bumper , and a detail or two in the factory paint (photos attached)
The interior is immaculate ..., the dashboard is crack free, and all the upholstery is still new ... , Carpets would benefit from professional cleaning and the Engine Bay and trunk photos speak for themselves
Mechanically, everything is consistent with the low mileage and everything is working .
Assembled in East London Mercedes plant, , known to be produced to an even higher standard, due to specific manufacturing oversight and SA content regulations at that period.
In short, not perfect but still an excellent example, bearing in mind that it's almost 50 years old.
