'66 LHD 11 Window Splitscreen
Heres the opportunity lhd ex German ambulance with sliding door, had the drop down rear hatch changed to a normal door on restoration, resto pics available. Its been owned it for 18 years and was restored about that time by Scott Oliver @ SGS Aircooled before he sold up some 5 years ago. Its finished in Pearl White L87 over Velvet Green L512 . Its running straight axle conversion & a 4" narrowed front beam & sat on some polished Empi Spintstar replicas, with low profile tyres. As you can see inside is a full width rock'n'roll bed , trimmed in off white & green vinyl, which then runs through the side trim, door cards & cab seats, which pulls it all together. Its got a nice little wooden steering wheel, monster tacho & Scat quick shift. Under the dash it has a modern stereo powering 4 speakers. Theres a roof mounted flip down DVD screen, which is great for those chilled camping evenings. Below that is a really cool curved cabinet, giving plenty of storage, whilst still leaving loads of floor space. This isn't your stock splitscreen bus, as along with the straight axle its powered along by a 2. 0 ltr with 110 Engle cam , twin 40 dellortos, breathers , electronic ignition, stainless steel sidewinder exhaust, external oil cooler and filter , so definitely no slouch. Ok, so the bus needs a bit of bodywork/ paint in various places but can be jumped in and used as is & over time these little blemishes can be improved & will only add value to the bus.
