This car has only covered 41, 000 miles from new and is such a beautiful, original, untouched example. The entire car still wears its original paintwork and the interior is in the same beautiful, factory condition.
The soft top is finished in black, untouched and works perfectly and still retains the original poly glass plastic windows, etched with the Mercedes logo.
Quite staggeringly the passenger’s seatbelt still wears the original factory plastic wrapping! The entire car has the original glass etched with Mercedes logos.
The tool kit is complete and still retains the hand operated roof tool with its plastic packet! Even the spare wheel still has the tag attached regarding wheel fitting. The vehicle also retains the original number plates from the supplied dealer when new.
I have just given the car a complete service including oil and oil filter change, air filter, coolant and brake fluid change, spark plugs and fuel filter.
In addition the wheels have just been properly refurbished and wear Dunlop tyres all round with nearly new tread.
Everything on the car works perfectly and it drives like how a car with this mileage should do.
This example does not suffer from all the usual common issues R129s have, such as rotten inner front wings, jacking points and inner wheel arches. That being said, please bear in mind this is a 30 year old vehicle and so is not new.
There isn’t another car you’d want to go out and pose with on a sunny day, there is nothing like a classic SL.
