Description
This is one of the jeeps used in the Band of Brothers series. This was Captain Winters jeep. All jeeps on B. O. B's were Hotchkiss because they are 24v and start well in cold weather. This one had a recon engine by the French army, also gearbox. It runs very well with good oil press. and does not jump out of gear. The paint is original and deliberately distressed as all the jeeps were for use in the film.
This jeep comes with original B. O. B. paperwork and certificate of authenticity from the head of department, each jeep from the film had its own ident number.
This is fully registered and is road legal. This jeep was bought at auction direct from the French army.
It had been in reserve stores after complete mechanical rebuild and has covered around 2000 miles since, so that it is in excellent mech. condition. The body work is substantially rust free and remains in the paint finish given to the eleven jeeps used throughout the series, aged for authenticity.
This vehicle was kept apart from the other ten jeeps due to its fresh mechanics and pleasant driving style, to be used by the senior actors. It has remained in the film company store since the end of the series, used lightly for advertising and promotions.
