My magazine featured replica of the famous ‘Red Pig’ was built by renowned Mercedes restoration expert, Martin Morocco, as his own vehicle. The W123 was stripped and rebuilt to an incredibly high standard. The labour involved would comfortably exceed £75, 000 such is the attention to detail. The specification is too comprehensive to list but includes a 560 block rebuilt to AMG specification (including larger valves with modified rockers, matched inlet and exhaust manifolds, a modified ECU, uprated camshafts and oil cooler), uprated gearbox, LSD, uprated brakes and hoses, high output fuel pumps, spas adjustable, battery cut off switch, competition fuel cell and a custom exhaust. The interior has a roll cage and 2 competition style seats with race harnesses.
When I bought the car 2 years ago it was not road legal. I spent over five figures to make it road legal and reliable. It has been a joy to own. Huge fun and reliable. It sounds amazing.
The car was featured in Mercedes Enthusiast magazine and has been displayed at Mercedes World.
