I bought this car in 2001 and took 15 years for restoration. It was done with genuine parts and only thing missing is original radio as I could not get the original radio in working order. Most of the parts purchased in Germany from Mercedes authentic places as Niemoeller, SLS etc. All invoices for parts and repairs are thereI lived in Germany from 1963 till 1982 and had this type of car 190 SL for few years. I was travelling near Birmingham in 2001 and lost my way and finally found a small farm to enquire about the road. By chance I saw this car in a yard totally rusted. I asked the lady why is this car there and she told me that it was her husband's favourite car and since his death couple of years ago it is rotting there. She is selling this through some agent and I offered to buy this car. I am now 85 years old and not keeping very good health and that's why I would like to sell it.
