The 205 Rallye was designed to be as light as possible, with minimal soundproofing and comfort features, bringing its weight down to just 794kg. To homologate the car for Group N and Group A rallying, the original 1, 124cc engine from the 205 XR was bored and stroked to 1, 294cc, with a reinforced crankshaft and upgraded camshafts. Other performance upgrades included GTI-spec springs, dampers, and brakes.
This 1 owner from new 205 Rallye is finished in it´s original white, and with it´s tradmark Peugeot Talbot Sport' tri -colour stripes on the front grille, rear panel, sides, and above the side indicators Inside, the charcoal grey cloth-trimmed cabin features red stitching, carpets, and seatbelts, The car sits on white 13-inch steel wheels with brand new Toyo tires. things are kept basic and light inside with wind-down front windows, pop-out rear windows, and manual adjustable door mirrors. Electrics are kept to the essentials for driver focus!
This highly original car in it´s original paintwork was recomissioned this year after being sat in a garage since 2000.
The low kms reflects this. if you are looking for a rust free original car then this is for you. Obviously for the age and being original there are the usual blemishes and scratches. The decision was made not to repaint it as it was so oriiginal. Being that is a garage find the interior has succumbed to the humid climate which isnt kind to nylon upholstery when it is sat around and unused. It breaks down however completely new and original covers are available for less than 1000 euros. The price could be negotiated if you want us to fit a new interior but at this price point at it is priced accordingly.
