This Caterham Super 7 Sprint is special in many ways being a one owner car, ordered from & built by Caterham (not a self assembled kit).
Only 8890miles from new and been garaged all its life.
I doubt there is another like this in such original condition retaining its patina.
Free historic tax and MOT exempt, however it’s MOT’d for reassurance.
It has recently been thoroughly inspected and serviced.
The car is from a limited run of 212 (page 60-61 of the book "The Magnificent 7 rev 2”).
It offers a pure driving experience.
Built in 1982 by the factory with a long cockpit chassis (suitable for 5ft 9”-6ft 2” height) live Ital axle car.
It has the Caterham tuned 1600cc Ford Hi performance crossflow engine ( circa 110bhp) with twin webers 40’s coupled to an Escort sport gearbox.

Ford pink engine handbook and pink Lotus/ Caterham manual

Britax seatbelts ( there is also factory fitted harness mounting points on rear cross frame)

Original 13” tulip alloys with new uniroyal rain expert 3 (185/ 60/ 13)rubber allowing a versatile use or safety if caught out in the rain.
Original and fully refurbished Weber twin 40’s
Original Lucas electronic ignition.
Original spax dampers all round( original adjustable 14 click).
Program of sympathetic recommissioning includes:
Wheels refurbished and 4 x new Uniroyal rain expert three tyres fitted with bolt in richbrook valves.
Front shock absorbers stripped and damper/ adjustment mechanism checked , re assembled.
The factory supplied matching Weber carburetors were ultrasonically cleaned inspected and reassembled by a Weber expert carefully setting float height then balanced and idle set up with colourtune.
New ( high temperature) O rings were used between carbs and inlet manifold
New Caterham silicone coolant hoses
New Ford distributor cap with new OEM Lucas rotor, timing and advance checked
New in period silicone plug leads and plugs.
Compression test engine -175 psi in all 4 cylinders
Running oil pressure 75psi
Brake master cylinder refurbished using powertrac parts
Front Girling type 14 calipers overhauled with new seals and disc’s.
Rear drums and brakes inspected , and adjusted.
All three flexible brake lines replaced with Black diamond braided hoses and fresh dot 4 fluid in braking system.
Fuel system cleaned and fresh E5 with lead additive
A new oil filter ( wix) and fresh millers 20w50 classic sport oil
Gearbox oil change with Castrol Transmax EP 80W.
New battery
New alternator
All parts removed have been kept. A one owner factory built Caterham Super 7 Sprint is a rare car especially as its virtually original and very low mileage.
This will car will make you grin and provide a pure driving experience not found in more modern cars.
