Heres my very nice, very rare none sunroof phase1 1. 9 GTIIve decided to sell, Ive owned it for nearly 2 years and done nothing with it other than run up to temp and kept in a dehumidified garage, so few of these Phase1 1. 9’s left.
It has sympathetic mods including;professionally fitted OMP multipoint roll cage, bilstein suspension etc.
It had specially made by cobra a pair of classic bucket seats covered in the correct phase1 grey Ramier fabric matching the rear phase1 seats, they look amazing and are unused(cost well over £1200)
The complete original phase1 dash and undamaged functioning glovebox is also an absolute rarity.
Drives perfect, great Targa, Sunday, collectors car, even very straightforward to put back to standard.
Its had a newly refurbished rear axle&Torsion bars fitted, refurbed brake calipers, see photos.
The underside is absolutely rust free, original and totally solid, doesnt appear to have had any past welding or repairs, quite obviously been dry stored for most or all of its life.
Original speedline wheels fitted with good tyres, recent fuel pipes replaced and fuel filter. Showing 75kmiles but dont have any history, must say it does run very sweet and has no signs of previous rust repairs, mot’d untill september 2026 without advisories.
Great car and a great opportunity to own probably one of the rarest 205 GTI’s. Considering its nearly 40 years old, its incredible.
