Description
A brilliant example of a very rare and desirable Jeep XJ. The best year / colour combination of a Phase 1. To find this model is almost impossible, added to that the low mileage, and the brilliant condition - this is a rare find. It took me several years to find it - in the interim, I had a Phase 2 (1997-2001) - but they do not have the retro features, or charm of the Phase 1’s, are are not as collectible. I am very sad to part with this Vehicle, but unfortunately, a second car is no longer viable for me as I work away, and it hardly gets driven (which you can see from the mileage).
I bought this from a private owner in wales, who bought it from a classic car garage a couple of years previously.
This Jeep was MOT’d in October, and I have full service history, including full ownership history, including the original Jeep sales invoice, plus all parts receipts from each owner.
Since I’ve owned it (2 years), I have had a 2. 5 inch lift to accommodate the bigger Maxxis tyres, and it goes in for a professional valet twice a year, including roof and bonnet ceramic coating.
Air con and heating work as they should, paintwork and decals are great, apart from some chips on two of the wheel arches, no dents at all.
The only issue to my knowledge is the drivers window sometimes jams - I have not had time to get it to a garage, but I’ve been told this is an easy fix. This Jeep is a really great example for its age, and the interior is especially immaculate, apart from some minor wear on the drivers seat as expected, although I have had seat covers on both front seats throughout my ownership.
The steering wheel is my absolute favourite style for Jeeps, and to me - this is what an XJ should look like.
I have just used this Jeep as a run around / second car, and have never taken it off road.
