1999 Aston Martin DB7 i6 Stratstone Limited Edition – 1 of Only 19 Built
Offered for sale is an exceptionally rare Aston Martin DB7 i6 Stratstone Limited Edition, one of just 19 examples produced and a highly significant late-production variant of the much-loved supercharged six-cylinder DB7.
Shortly before the end of DB7 i6 production in May 1999, Stratstone of Mayfair, Aston Martin’s London dealer, commissioned a very small run of specially specified cars. Unlike many dealer specials of the era, these Stratstone Limited Editions were built entirely on the Aston Martin production line, making them genuine factory-produced limited editions rather than retrospectively modified examples.
In total, just 19 cars were built, comprising 9 Coupés and 10 Volantes. All were right-hand drive, all were supplied to the UK market, and each was individually numbered and embossed with its first owner’s name.
This particular example is car number 15 of 19 and is one of the 9 Coupés produced.
These cars were distinguished by a unique and exceptionally high specification, including:

• Charcoal leather upper environment with Stone Grey lower trim
• Seat headrests embossed with “Stratstone of Mayfair”

• Carbon fibre dashboard facias and gearstick surround – notably the first time this was available on a DB7

Adding further to the model’s provenance, customers took delivery of these cars at a special handover ceremony at Blenheim Palace. The occasion reportedly included transfer to the Palace by chartered helicopter, followed by lunch and a personal presentation of each vehicle by an Aston Martin representative outside the main entrance. It was a suitably memorable setting for a car that perfectly embodied Aston Martin’s timeless motto: “Power, Beauty, Soul.”
Our example has been lovingly cherished and is now ready for a new custodian to enjoy and preserve it. It is only being offered for sale for a genuine reason, namely the downsizing of a private collection.
