Description
Agrati Garelli Capri 50 2-stroke 4-speed from 1969, in working order but unused for many years. It was completely stripped down and recommissioned. The engine runs well; the spark plug has been replaced and the carburettor cleaned. The brake and gear cables have been renewed. The bodywork panels have been resprayed in the original colours, the seat has been reupholstered and a new black rubber mat fitted to the floorboard.
Further work may be needed if the scooter is to be returned to the road, including brake inspection and fitting new tyres for safety reasons.
Produced by Agrati-Garelli in various capacities—50cc, 80cc, 100cc, 125cc and 150cc—all on the same frame, it was intended for the Northern European and UK markets. Only a handful were sold in Italy due to strong competition from Vespa and Lambretta, making the few surviving examples quite rare today and highly collectable. It has never been registered and comes with its original documentation booklet.
