I imported this car from Prague around 10 years ago and enjoyed driving it, particularly when I used it as my wedding car. It was always planned to be my weekend car to tinker with but once kids came along I simply have not had time to enjoy it as I had imagined.
The car arrived to me in working condition so I know the basis of the car has worked well. It has a very slow oil leak which I never got around to fixing but this was present when I first had it.
I worked on the drum brakes to clean/ free them up.
There is a bit of bodywork damage from a small ding on the front bumper and door which was from a small impact when towing the car.
Beyond that, the chassis is and paintwork is all in sensible condition. The windscreen has seen better days and has some marks on it but no chips and the seals work well around the door and windows. It is an incredibly cute car that is so fun and quirky. That's why I fell in love with it!
I'm sure many out there will know more than I do but it's a pretty simple engine and car design. All has been pretty easy to work out when needing to do bits on it. There is a great online resource as well that I have found which gives full insight into the build/ make up of the car.
To have 4 seats meant that it was a lot more practical than the Isetta, for me at least, as it has a bit of space to put a bag and things if you want to take it on a trip somewhere.
